Raising the Bar to Create New Type of Luxury Living

“Raising the bar to create a new type of luxury living”
Pearns Point Antigua
Q&A with Craig Noblett, Director of EMCs

What do you think of Pearns Point as a development?

“The development is really raising the bar to create a new type of luxury living. Antigua itself is going through somewhat of an evolution in terms of luxury homes recently; there’s not been much development to this level of quality over the over the last 15 years. It’s a very exciting time to be here and to be part of that development process, and to be collaborating on such an incredible project.”

How did EMCs come to collaborate with Pearns Point?

“EMCs were originally asked for our expertise to build a super luxury villa on the peninsula, ‘Santigua’ designed by KSR Architects. We’ve been working in Antigua for the last 18 months and have recently developed a Villa + Lot package for Pearns Point.”

What were your first impression of the Pearns Point Development?

“Pearns Point is exceptional as a piece of land and the location is absolutely perfect. Everything about the development is absolutely stunning, the peninsula has secluded beaches, breath-taking views across the sea and it enjoys the most beautiful sunsets. It’s the perfect place to own a home.

“One of the things that stood out initially was the development’s excellent infrastructure. By getting that in place from the outset, it means that buyers can easily appreciate the layout and are really able to visualise what it might be like to live on Pearns Point and to own a property there.”

You mentioned the Villa + Lot Packages, tells us about those?

“We’ve designed four fantastic packages Luxury, Deluxe, Prestige and Bespoke. The packages have been designed to help inspire a buyer’s ideas and gives them an overall indication of project costs based on an assumed plot size, plus there’s the added advantage of being able to make use of the developer’s experience and the professional team of architects and contractors.”

How important was sustainability in the build process?

“Wherever possible, we try to use locally sourced building materials, for example things like concrete and masonry. When using other suppliers, we are careful to use Miami and Florida based suppliers, in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. The villas themselves have a number of sustainable design features, and are all designed to be energy efficient, for example by reducing power consumption for air conditioning and pool systems.”

Is there anything unique about the land on Pearns Point from a construction point of view?

“Most of the land on Pearns Point is flat with good soil and it’s not too rocky, it’s much easier to build there than in some other places, for example the British Virgin Islands.”
